MERMAID'S SPELL (Davisson-J 2013)

My most pristine lavender to date, MERMAID'S SPELL is huge 9 1/2" clear pale lavender with a feathered light yellow "Munson" type watermark that is delineated by a darker lavender pencil band. First blooms are often 10" with a boldly open form with petals and sepals often on different planes, but registered as a large flower rather than an unusual form due to variation in form. Foliage is narrow and semi-evergreen with a dormant resting bud above ground in winter. Scapes are 42" with 5- and 6-way branching, 33 buds. A great season extender as it starts blooming midseason and goes well into late season. Fragrant!! Easily fertile both ways. Tetraploid from HIGH WATER MARK X AMAZING ADAM.
